# Hey guys! I found this beautiful Philodendron at Lowe’s. I’m not sure…

Hey guys!

I found this beautiful Philodendron at Lowe’s. I’m not sure what one it is. I believe it’s an imperial red or a red Congo maybe? I’m not sure. The card says Philodendron SP. not sure what SP is other than species? It’s not on their website.

I think you’re on track with the Rojo Congo. Looking at the leaf shape where the leaf meets the stem, it has more of a tatai shape, but the colors are totally imperial red.

Rojo Congo (Red Congo) is a cross of the philodendron imperial red and the philodendron tatei.

I can’t believe I finally found one. If that’s it. I have been looking for so long. And it’s so pretty. Definitely needs a bigger house asap. Roots growing on top of the pot.

check for bugs, most of my plants from lowes have had bad pest problems

It’s outside currently. 😂 I made the mistake of not quarantining one other one. Had a gnat infestation.
