# Heyo! Beginner plant owner here! I planted this zinnia about 2-3 days…

Heyo! Beginner plant owner here! I planted this zinnia about 2-3 days ago and he’s growing! But I noticed he still has his seed covering his leaves. Do I need to remove it, or will it fall off on its own? Any advice is great, thank you! 💚

Give it a chance to drop the seed shell. It’s very tender. You could break off the new leaves if mishandled.
