It’s my first time owning a peace lily and I just wondered if this is normal or if I’m doing anything wrong

Hi! I think it's normal. Flowers bloom and then they die! My Peace Lily did the same thing and it's thriving. It bloomed a flower and after some time the flower started to brown until it died. It looks like another one may start to bloom! From what I can see, your plant looks pretty healthy to me 💛

Definitely normal. The leaf and flower will die after a while, as will the stem the leaf and flower is on. Then in time a new stem will grow with a new flower and leaf. It’s pretty much the same with any flowering plant. The flowers will eventually die, but if the rest of the plant is kept in good health, the flowers will regrow. And then they die, and the cycle continues for as long as the plant lives.

With some plants there are ways to “force” a plant to flower sooner than its natural schedule, like by shortening its daylight hours (putting it in a cupboard for 20 hours a day for instance), but I’m not sure if/how you do that with peace lilies. You can always google it.
