Morning,
does anyone have a Purple Passion plant and are willing to share their experience with them? It’s on my plant wishlist, but wanted some actual feedback from those that are actively caring for one

Mine didn’t do well in a terrarium so don’t do that lol. I guess they prefer less moisture. Definitely don’t leave water on their leaves, fuzzy plants don’t like that

Oh dear. Thanks so much for the tips.

I currently have one, she’s a pain in my ass like my lemon prayer plant

She likes to be moist all the time with high humidity.

For me she either is fine for 2-3 days and then her leaves fall again until her next water but I’ve had her for 1 month now and i repotted her yesterday.

Lolol it seems the weirdest plants are a pain. This is very helpful. Do you have a humidifier near her?

I started with 4. 2 died. Now I have 8. I try to keep it short and bushy, rather than tall and lanky. As a result, I end up propagating a few stems.

Thank you so much for your insight. Wow it sounds like they are easy to propagate which is great to hear. They live for a very long time under the right conditions?!

I have had it for a year at the end of the month .

Pretty easy in my hands sitting outside on east facing porch. Got crispy after one work trip when it was really hot but bounced back quickly.

Oh so thanks so much for that insight. It sounds like they would fair better outside

I have one and it’s been a pretty easy one to look after - even in northern England where we don’t get a lot of consistency in temperature. It’s sat in a window which has a blind on it so there is a decent amount of light but they won’t get scorched. I water it whenever Planta tells me, from below (I soak it for 5 mins in a sink with an inch of water to let it get what it needs) and give it a little mist once a week to improve humidity but I make sure the leaves aren’t soaked. It’s grown so high I need to take cuttings this weekend, and thankfully they sound really easy to do. It’s a pretty plant!

Thanks so much for sharing. That’s pretty amazing. This gets me excited about possibly purchasing one
