Do polka dot plants like to be root bound?? The roots on mine grow crazy fast. She is also pretty stretched out but she's in a very bright window

Betty is trying to flower! I personally let mine flower then cut the stem down to the dirt. And Polka Dot plant’s root system grows down not out!

Why to you cut the flowering stem to the dirt? Are you supposed to for the health of the plant??
