Is it okay to repot an elephant ear while it’s working on a new leaf? I bought this a few weeks ago and have just noticed how root bound it is.

I would personally wait till new leaf is stronger/bigger so you don’t cause it stress or damage it while re potting!

I think you’re right. The roots clearly aren’t giving it trouble if it’s making a new leaf 😊 I’ll wait.

It won’t do it harm to leave it for another week ! And it looks like a beautiful plant! I would only repot when a new leaf is coming in an emergency like dropped pot and it broke or over watered

yes completely fine. mine was shooting out a new growth and i reported it and she’s completely fine other then a phew yellowing leaves which can sometimes mean your plant is just killing those leaves off to produce more energy.

And make sure the new pot is nice and deep!
