I have a Pothos Joy plant I’ve had for 15 years now. Lately over the past month and a half it’s not drying out. I haven’t changed the location and according to the app it’s in a good spot. It looks healthy but I have had to skip watering it and fertilizing it but it’s still too moist. The plant meter I have seems to be working fine in all my other plants, of which I have about 40!!!! So what’s up with my Pothos not drying out? Any suggestions, please?????!!!! Thank you.

I don’t think so as it’s growing beautifully and has several new sprouts. I did fertilize with water today and it drained very well even with damp soil. I just don’t understand why it’s not drying out more. As I said I’ve had it 15 years and it’s always dried out enough to warrant watering. I’ll just have to keep an eye on it.

So have you had boughts of cloudy weather or extra humidity? Environment factors are the only thing I can think of as a variable 🤷‍♀️

She may need to be repotted?

When was the last time her soil was refreshed? Maybe either top dress with worm castings or microrize (sp?) or repot into fresh soil in the same container. If she was rootbound, she’d dry out faster rather than slower. Are the new leaves that are coming out significantly smaller?
