This is growing from my spider plant and I’m not sure what to do with it because it’s so tall that it’s falling over and the flowers aren’t blooming they look like they are dying….

These are spider babies. That’s how the plant gots its name. These are a sign the plant is healthy. 😁 You can get a free plant from each one when they mature.

i can’t quite tell since the photo’s a little blurry, but it looks like your spider plant’s flowers are blooming, i think i spot spent ones on the vine. you might just be missing them, they only open during the daylight hours, and close and shrivel at sunset

The bloom will die and a plant new plant will start, they will even start to grow roots off it that you can chop and make a brand new plant with when they grow big enough, they sometimes weigh themselves down and hang lower which is fine!

Where do you cut them at to be able to propagate them??

You can let it grow on your plant till it gets roots and bigger or cut the whole stem off because it won’t produce more off that stem and then chop off the plants off them stem and then put it in water to grow roots happy planting your plant is so happy it’s a mom now 🥰

Just cut the stem in between each babies. Put them into soil and keep evenly moist until the ground roots come. (Mine like fast draining soil and I water almost daily because of the heat where I live. They are patio plants.) You can start them in water. But, not necessary for spider plants. They are avid growers. You can use rooting hormone powder to give the roots a boost. But, again, not mandatory.

Cut one off (the biggest one) just above the baby plant and put it in a cup of water and place in a sunny spot. It will start growing roots in 3-4 days. When they are about 2 in long plant them in a small plastic pot. I do this quite often. Easy peasy! I usually cut the stem all the way back to make it look nicer.
