# Guys I’m so sad! 😭 I picked up this Alocasia Polly from Walmart…

Guys I’m so sad! 😭 I picked up this Alocasia Polly from Walmart today and I picked her because of this giant beautiful leaf. Well.. on the way home she tipped over and it broke right in the middle. Will this leaf survive? Is there anything I can do to help it or is it just going to slowly die?

I think she’ll be ok. But you can try super glue. That worked on a big orchid leave that my cat snapped almost off and the leaf has stayed healthy for 6 months after now! Just a dab or two. Support it while it dries.

I would get imaginative and try to push it back together after getting the sap flowing again at the dry areas inside cracked vein. Maybe, scarring the dry areas with a toothpick? Then, use a small amount of painters or floral tape to hold the crack closed. Treat it like grafting. Good luck with that.

Pic above: My queen of the night frequently bends. It’s too big. The plant just fills the gap with sap while the leaf keeps growing at 90 degrees.

It will regrow a new leaf given enough light.
