Can somebody tell what’s the name of this plant and should I be worried and cut off the leaves with these spots?

Looks like it could be a peace lily ?

Agreed! Maybe it’s getting too much water for the amount of light it’s getting?

I’m not too sure. I just got the plant about less than a week ago so when I repotted it I cleaned the roots which surprisingly had a good root system going and put it in this pot but those spots were already there. Idk what the spot mean. So I’m stuck between leaving them as is or cutting them off to be safe

Yup, it’s a peace lily

The yellow spots can mean overwatering.

Should I cut those leaves off ?

It doesn’t hurt the plant. Cut if you want. The yellow will turn brown and dry out like mine. I cut mine today after repotting. Damaged leaves stay damaged.

Watch out for new spots after you adjust the watering schedule AND it gets used to its new pot (always expect a little transplant shock). As others have said, it’s likely from over-water. But from what I can see in the pics there may be a halo effect around the spots, which could indicate something like a virus or other infection. Read: disease is a lot less likely than the possibility of over-water, thus the rec that you watch for new spots (a sign of continued problem) after adjusting for water and giving it time to settle in.
