I found these on the side of the road and put them in a spare pot temporarily. What kind of plants are they, and should I separate them?

The one to the left is a Dracaena reflexa var. angustifolia (formerly known as Dracaena marginata) and I love the quirky growth on the one you’ve got there 🥰

I think Dracaena and a Rubber Tree Plant.

That’s how I got my huge Corn plant. I was near the end of my school bus route and went back for her after I was done. She started with three stalks and now has two. But she’s very lush compared to when I first met her. Would never have purchased one that big.

I’d recommend separating them if only so you can care for them separately. If one gets sick you can take care of it and not be administrating the cure to the heathy roommate plant as well.
That being said I think they’re needs are similar so they’d be ok for a while together.

I have never seen them in the same pot. Rubber trees can be finicky. They usually hate being moved. But, this one looks good.

Didn’t realize people just abandon their plants on the side of the road! 😭 That’s how we got two of our cats.

I’m sure your new buds will appreciate their new loving home. 💗
