Hi guys! I bought a monstera clipping and it has a small root. Can I plant it now or should I keep it in water until the roots grow longer? Thanks!

I hear that, generally (not specific to any plant), to wait until about the length of a pinky or two inches

And I’ve heard that if you can bear to wait until some secondary roots grow in it improves growth in soil. Roots on the big roots

Thank you! My sister sent me a pothos cutting and I’ve been obsessively checking it to see if it’s ready to pot. It has one big long root, but that’s it.

I will wait. 🕰️ 🫠
