hey yall — I’ve had my Cebu Blue pothos for almost a year and its been growing super fast. this morning I noticed a leaf that simply doesn’t fit in lol to me, it looks like an alocasia or some other species of plant. anyone know why this would happen and what you think it is?

Omg lol this is crazy! You’ll definitely have to keep us all updated 😂 How long have you had this plant? Maybe a cutting from a different plant could have gotten in the pot from the plant nursery you got it from? That’s literally the only thing I could think of because it definitely doesn’t look like a monstera leaf

Looks like an Alocasia corm was hitchhiking in the soil! Buy one, get one free! I’m interested to find out the variety.

It totally does look like an alocasia! That’s so wild. I guess a corm was hitchhiking in the soil? But would a corm have taken that long to sprout? 🤔

I didn’t even think of that wow

Alocasia corms can take months to put out new growth from a corm. They need high humidity and heat.

Looks like an Alocasia Polly!
