I’m looking to repot my new peperomia frosted and I thought I had the perfect pot for it! Turns out the pot is terracotta but is glazed on the inside with zero drainage. Id prefer not to keep it in the nursery pot it came in because it sticks of the pot I have currently and I’m not sure I can find something that will work due to the shape of the pot. Has anyone had success potting peperomias in pot with no drainage? I currently have another smaller Peperomia in a pot with zero drainage but the new plant is much larger and I’m not sure if it’ll be okay. Help is appreciated!!!

That’s a beautiful plant. I’ve wanted one forever. Personally I wouldn’t pot in a pot with no drainage. Can you find a small plastic pot to repot it into and then place that inside the other pot?

I might be able too, the think is the pot is more bowl shaped. About 3 inches tall and 6 wide. Haven’t found any luck yet but not giving up!

If you really want to use the pot, you can drill a hole using a masonry bit. There are plenty of tutorials on YouTube if you need more information

I agree. I bought some diamond drill heads off of amazon and now anything can be a pot 🥳

I third that vote.

Ooo I’m liking this idea! I have multiple pots that could use this actually. Thanks!!

What a good idea. Don’t know why I didn’t mention that. I even have ceramic drilling bits. Lol. I just use a lot of cover pots because I like being able to take my plants out to water them.

Every time I’ve tried a no-drainage situation, I have ALWAYS lost the plant! So I wouldn’t chance that beautiful peperomia’s life! So I agree with the drilling lol
