Hey y’all! As a chronic over waterer, Im trying to get an idea on what signs different plants will show when they are thirsty. For my rubber trees, I know it’s important to let them fully dry out (I almost killed one of my rubber trees from overwatering), but are there any indicators that it’s really to drink? Like more flimsy leaves or something? Thanks!

Well yellowing leaves would indicate either not enough light and over watering

You also want the soil to dry out in between waterings so the roots can get oxygen but it may also be the soil you are using

I have noticed with my plants they do better with soil that has more bark in it because it allows the soil to dry out and also the bark absorbs water

Troubleshooting with soil was definitely a thing for me in the beginning! Lol still trying to get the hang of it.

Just poke the soil. If it’s rock-hard, water it. My two rubber trees (burgundy and ruby) don’t mind drying up one bit!
