I need some advice! Pls ignore my temporary pot set up😅 l'm the process of moving. I got this Ficus Lyrata/Fiddle leaf Fig about 2 weeks ago and it seems that his leaves have only gotten more brown. Not sure what I'm doing wrong \& would love some suggestions!

Does the pot have drainage? My guess would be a nice repotting in a pot with solid drainage with some fresh soil will fix it in no time. Over all the plant looks fairly healthy

Realizing it only has one hole in the middle! I’ll plan to repot it tmrw into something more suiting. Thanks so much :))

My fiddle leaf that was rescued from a big box store looked very similar. It was from over watering in my case. I replanted with a well draining chunky soil and let it dry out 25% between waterings and it has dropped a lot of its damaged leaves and has a lot of new growth. I would definitely check the soil with a chopstick or water meter before watering 😊

Also, if those damaged leaves near the bottom fall off and it’s looking leggy, you can always chop the top and propagate in water 😊 that’s what I plan on doing if my fiddle drops all of the damage. Then you’ll have a healthy plant once it roots.
