New leaf on my Alocasia Polly! This is now my largest leaf and another one is growing in as well! I’m pretty excited because I thought this plant would be my slowest growing but it’s becoming my fastest. I’ve only had it since Mother’s Day and it consistently puts out a new leaf right after another one has grown. 😁🪴

That’s awesome! I just got an Alocasia Polly, so if you have any extra tips on helping them grow I would be extremely grateful! :)

Thanks! Some quick tips: I have it in a half and half mix of perlite and outdoor potting mix which the plant seems to love. Also this mix helps to retain moisture which helps with only having to water it every few weeks. Another thing, I have the plant outdoors sitting behind a patio chair which gives nice indirect sunlight. {the plant does not like direct sunlight as it will burn the leaves as you can see on some of my older leaves.} The main tip I would say is just keep in a shady area with good humidity. Hope that helps!

Yay! So stunning! I too just had a new Poly leaf unfurl. Caught this shot of her underside of new leaf. The veination is so spectacular, right?

Nice! I love this plant the look of it is so odd yet beautiful, the veins on the back are cool!

Go you!!!! I killed my first Polly 🥲 I have a silver dragon now and it’s absolutely thriving like yours and just flowered🥰

it’s beautiful!!! i constantly struggle with these guys, i think it’s just way too dry here
