my guess is that you need some insecticide to spray on it; as well as make sure that it's getting indirect sun :)

Looks looks some fungal disease. Cut above the black part. Cure it with cinnamon and keep an eye on it. If it keeps spreading, you might need something stronger.

It had another leaf do this same thing prior, and it was soaking wet as it rotted. my worry is if it’s a fungal disease because I had it near other plants while the first leaf was dying off- which I already sprayed down with a fungicide as the plant quarantines

It’s a white knight philodendron, and with the way I had gotten it my first assumption was overwatering or root rot, do you think that’s still a possibility?

Yes. Check the soil
