Happy July my plant peeps . Question on grow lights . I am currently looking to buy a grow light for the kitchen recessed canned lighting just not sure what watt would be best?

What is your primary recipient plant category and what amount of wattage do they need on average? Then you have to take into consideration how far the light is from the target plants. I’d almost invest in a light meter. A lot of variables.

It’s a peace Lilly I have right now on the bar and approximately 5 ft away . Just don’t want to keep moving the plant under other grow lights I have so would like to put one up in the ceiling over the bar . Will check out a light meter too.

They make scr\*w-in grow bulbs just like a normal bulb, but most can lights are MR16 so wouldn’t fit into those, no scr\*w socket. But do keep in mind, in general, ANY light is a grow light. Don’t let the grow light companies fool you into thinking you have to buy a special kind of light. LED works for grow lights too. And yes, a light meter and distance from whatever light you choose is key.

Yes on white LED.
