# Looking for suggestions on a large plant or tree to put in this…

_Posted by Jacqui B on 2023-06-28_

Looking for suggestions on a large plant or tree to put in this corner in my living room. The windows are west facing but the light doesn’t really reach this corner much so it’s definitely like a low light area. I’d really like to put a big ol’ monstera there but I don’t think/don’t know if the light is enough for it and there isn’t really anywhere for me to put a grow light over there for it (the Edison bulbs in the floor lamp are surrounded by glass bulbs but you can’t really tell in the photo, so it’s not like I could change them to grow bulbs).

Excuse my husband and son lounging around, this was the best photo I had in my phone to show the corner in question 😅

A monsterra came to my mind too . What about a Kentia Palm or a bird of paradise?

I’d be inclined to think a monstera or palm will need brighter light than that corner offers but you could get a big gorgeous dracaena like a corn stalk or dragon tree, or my personal fave, a rubber tree.

Bird of paradise would be lovely!
