I think it might be a Colocasia Elephant Ear, not an Alocasia.

Looks almost like a Mayan mask? What color Is the backside of the leaf? if you don’t mind me asking.

Its purple and yea this is the most simlar comparison ive seen!😳 cause most I see the leaves are too sharp in shape these are very curvy

If the back is like a burgundy ,then I think it’s safe to say it’s a Mayan mask alocasia. Mine grows like crazy and each leaf just keeps getting bigger!

1st pic is back side of leaf

#### xoana replied on 2023-06-27

Sorry! Couldn’t really make out the color. But if you look up Mayan mask online I think they look identical! The curvy leaves really set it for me.

No your all good 😁. I would love if it produces corms to sell/give some away hence why im trying to pin point the origin

This was it like freshly rescued and repotted it ended up losing every leaf

That soil looks way to dense for Alocasia/Colocasia. They like chunky airy aroid mix to be able to breathe oxygen between waterings. Try changing soil to this or Pon and you will stop losing leaves.
