# Hey everyone, wondering what may have happened to my false aralia…

Hey everyone, wondering what may have happened to my false aralia golden crest. It was doing amazing just a week ago and suddenly looks awful. I’m wondering if it may have gotten direct sunlight from my bedroom to cause it to look like this. Any opinions would be great! Watering and misting schedule is normal.

Ugh. This is also called a false aralia, I think? I've un-alived two of these. They want really well draining soil. They have a freak out if they have wet feet. And they need humidity if you are in a drier climate. I would say snooze the watering for a few days and just mist it a bit to see if you can get the leaves to perk up. If that doesn't work, you might need to look deeper into the soil/pot. Sometimes that's when I find I need to repot because the plant is root bound. Good luck!
