# Hi! Let’s talk WATER! What does everyone water their indoor plants…

Hi! Let’s talk WATER! What does everyone water their indoor plants with?

I live in an area that has hard water. We have a water softener.. will mg plants do okay with this water?

If not.. suggestions? TY!

I use tap water, but let it sit for 24 hours before using.

What does letting it sit out do?

It lets the chlorine evaporate out of the water

I use water from the fridge, or half drink water bottles (not mineral water though) mine don’t seem to like it.

If you have a water softener use it… it would also be good to collect a bunch of rain water… and sift it to get bugs out… and water your plants with that.

I bought a Brita for my plants because I don’t drink water. I was keeping it in the fridge until I realized they prefer warmish to Luke warm water. Now I leave the brita on the counter.

I finally got a rain barrel a month ago so I use that because some of my plants are sensitive to lime. Over the winter I’ll go back to using filtered tap water.
