# I don't know what it is about my Pink Princess and White Knight…

I don't know what it is about my Pink Princess and White Knight varieties, but they frequently need help getting their new leaves to come out. We like to say that we are "plant midwives" helping the new baby leaf be "born". So if you ever think you're too weird OR that you're a crazy plant parent, just remember that you're not as weird as my daughter and I role playing "Call the Midwife" while standing over a philodendron. 😎

I have a needle driver and hemostats in my plant kit too. Never know when you might need em! 👌🤣

I’m always so scared to help a stuck leaf! 🥲 I’ve tried a couple of times and ended up either damaging baby or moms. I heard humidity helps stuck leaves but I’m not too sure! I always spritz bc it could never hurt right?

Yeah usually they’re stuck from a lack of humidity so I always mist as well! I heard you can wrap a warm towel around to help as well

I always spritz the heck out my new little ones. Gotta lube the runway, ya know? Less friction as they unfurl. But for some reason this little princess has decided to be high maintenance. I guess she really is a princess! 🤣

Omg I’m obsessed with helping any stuck leaves. I can’t help myself! It happens with my PPP and my pink syngonium too sometimes! I run over with a wet q-tip every time 😂

I like pretending that the mother plant and her baby are two-headed twins, and I have to separate them and keep them both alive. So fun 😂
