Most likely you’re overwatering OR the soil is retaining too much moisture. What’s it planted in?

It’s planted in regular indoor soil with extra perlite \& orchid bark mixed in.

Squishy stems are usually a sign of over watering

Could be overwatering/soil issues. The good news is that alocasias can bounce back even from 0 leaves. I had mine lose all its leaves (soil wasn’t the best) and a few weeks later it gave me a new massive leaf. Best of luck!

What’s your watering schedule with yours?

I almost lost mine too. It was down to one leaf. I think it got too cold from the air conditioning vent. I moved it and now it just grew its third leaf.

I think the first problem is that it’s not a ‘Dragon Scale’ Alocasia. The leaves on a dragon scale are much rounder and thicker too. The plant also doesn’t get super tall like this one. What you have (I think) is an Alocasia ‘Frydek’. So if that’s the case the are very sensitive to overwatering. They also need bright indirect sunlight for a minimum of 5 hours a day and high humidity. Alocasia will shrivel their leaves up like this when it’s time for that leaf to fall off. As long as she is still producing leaves I think just changing to the above will be good for her. You can also check her roots to see if they are root bound or has rot root. Also note the pictures of a dragon scale v. a frydek. First pic is a frydek.

This is a dragon scale.

i disagree about the frydek, but it’s not a dragon scale either. i have a pink dragon alocasia that looks almost exactly like this. frydek also has soft velvety leaves while dragon is waxy so that’s really the best way to tell.
