# Bought this plant thinking it’s bougainvillea. It did good flowering…

Bought this plant thinking it’s bougainvillea. It did good flowering in the first week and since then it has been growing but mostly greens. It has been over a month now. How do I make it flower ?

Nurseries have all kinds of tricks to push the plant or stress it to make it flower in order to make sales. Its pretty normal to loose those blooms once its in its new home. I would just do your watering as normal and be patient. You may or may not get more blooms this year, but eventually will acclimate and normalize. Once you do start to see buds forming, you can give it some fertilizer right before blooms open which will push them and give them the nutrient boost they need for all that hard work. Then fertilize again at the end of bloom cycle.
