# I’m new to having a monstera. I managed to grow this over the past…

I’m new to having a monstera. I managed to grow this over the past year and he got so big and healthy. Only for a mover to have damaged the plant and killed it. However before he was moved I saved part of it and took it on the plane. In dec I tried to propagate it and it got lots of roots. :) I planted it in a pot with the right soil a few weeks ago. Wondering what this is growing out of the pot? Hoping it’s a good sign.

If the thing that’s “growing out of the pot” is in the top of the pic and the smallest green thing, when I zoom in, it looks like a leaf may be forming on the top and getting ready to peel off? Best of luck!

Yes in the top part of the photo, thank you! I’m hoping it’s a new stem/leaf
