Yum! It sounds delicious.

Citrus in general want excellent drainage but crave water. I use a mix of one part potting soil, one part perlite, a handful of worm castings.

Full sun for best results. They want all the sunlight. I have to pull mine indoors during the winter and they sulk. The minute they are moved outside they start pushing out new growth.

Fertilize regularly. They make citrus specific fertilizers but I think the main thing is to ensure it’s appropriate for use on edibles.

If they are inside you will need to pollinate the flowers yourself.

When your plant sets fruit, thin the crop so that you do not tax your plant. Mine are roughly 42” tall and I keep around 6 fruits on the plant.

Citrus are challenging but super fun. It’s a good idea to do a little internet sleuthing to see if your variety has particular needs. Good luck!
