# I’ve found that I like Calathea because while they can be a pain in…

_Posted by pg on 2023-06-08_

I’ve found that I like Calathea because while they can be a pain in the neck and finicky, it’s rewarding when they do well. Do not grow too big and don’t trail out of the pot for the most part.

I’m really trying to find a small Calathea Lutea (cigar Calathea) which grows huge. Can’t find any that are grown local here….everything ships from Thailand or Australia and is prohibitively expensive. Searched Google, Etsy, eBay, Florida growers…can’t find anywhere. Some guy on amazon offers seeds, but reviews show he’s a farce. Anyone seen these anywhere in the states?

Thanks for your help!!
