I got a Dracaena lemon lime from Lowe’s a week ago and have yet to water it because the soils is still very moist. What should I do?

I would keep waiting to water until it dries out and be sure that it is getting plenty of indirect light. I don’t water my lemon lime very often.

Repot it! If it’s been moist for a week, that’s a recipe for root rut 😕

I’ve repotted every plant that I’ve gotten from Lowe’s. They use a low quality soil and tend to overwater almost everything they have. If it’s still very moist I would suggest repotting into your own well draining soil.

If I repot should I water the plant or give it a break for a day or so?

I usually water right after repotting and never have had any issues. Just make sure it’s a well draining soil!

I would give it a break if it has been standing in moist soil for so long, it doesn’t need water.
