Basil likes to stay moist, don’t let the soil dry out. They also love full sun ☀️

The soil was slightly dry when I watered it today.

Basil definitely love full sun and water.
If it’s drying out rapidly and it’s a sizable plant, it might need to be repotted.
If you got it from a grocery store or similar, check that the roots aren’t wrapped in foam or that mesh stuff. It can keep the roots from spreading out the way they want to.
If it’s a big pot, also maybe check that there aren’t 2-3 basil plants that the store bunched together in the same pot. Can also cause the need for a lot more water and issues with the root systems if they don’t have enough room.
If you have an issue with the basil getting really leggy and not really producing lots of leaves, try trimming the top of the plant (keep the nice big leaves and just snip the stem above where the leaves are fully grown and healthy.)
Hope any of this helps!

A friend gave me a stem and I rooted it then planted it and it perked back up a little yesterday. Thank you!!
