I bought a meter to measure how damp my plants are before I water them again. Do I have to be careful not to damage the roots? How deep does the meter go?

There should be a sphere type thing that has a number/numbers on it. Just bury everything under it, it shouldn’t bother the roots unless your plant is root bound.

I use one, I’m just careful when I find any type of resistance I pick a different spot to put it in.

It’s been helpful! I have definitely been overwatering and now I don’t water until I check with the meter first. Thank you!
