# HELP. I have absolutely no green thumb and I bought a raspberry bush.…

HELP.  
I have absolutely no green thumb and I bought a raspberry bush. And it doesn’t need much water… well all of a sudden it has started raining a ridiculous amount here in Colorado. My poor bush has been way too soaked and I don’t know if I can even save the roots. Can somebody help me it’s been about a week since I hought it and it was extremely healthy. :(

I’ve heard that raspberries can be quite thirsty actually. But being overwatered isn’t good of course. Does the pot have drainage holes? Have you repotted it from its original pot? Is the soil waterlogged? Is the plant looking sick?

If it is in a pot, move it somewhere under a roof or cover. If you can’t because it is in the ground, try being creative. Get four sticks or stakes and tie a corner of an old blanket/small tarp to each stick/stake and you have a cheap resolution.

It needs the soil to dry out if it’s in a pot. I would recommend repotting it, giving it new soil, and making sure it has drainage.
