# So this baby was given to us yesterday and I need to prune it back…

So this baby was given to us yesterday and I need to prune it back and try propagating pieces of it. Any helpful suggestions?

Is this a fiddle leaf? I cut mine back to one foot high sticks and it is full and busy again now. I can post pick if wanted

I would love to see it! I believe this baby is called an octopus plant.

Looks like an Heptapleurum actinophyllum. One of my favourite plants. It seem to be in need of getting some love. It looks a bit dehydrated. You can shower the tree to soak the leaves and the soil. Carefully repot the plant into a suitable sized pot and some well draining soil.

Place it in a spot with plenty of indirect light and not too much direct sunlight. Water it lightly to keep the soil pending from almost dry to moist. Most it frequently to increase the humidity for it.

You can prune it back a little bit I would wait until it has perked back a bit first.
