I recently got a monstera, it’s in a 4in pot \& about 4/5 inches tall. Is there any tips on how to care for it?

Swiss cheese plant, so pretty!!! They love climbing up a trellis or hanging and vining down. Be sure to use fertilizer every other/every 3rd time you water. Water once soil dry, and only enough to make soil damp. Less is better! You don’t want it saturated.

If you train it to grow on a moss pole, or a wooden board, it will develop bigger and more mature leaves 🙂

Why is it that my bottom leaves always die even though new leaves are growing in great 😭

This is a natural cycle of most plants especially monstera variations. Older leaves will run their course and once the do you can remove them so the plant can send its energy towards new leaves and new growth.
