Hi all! Any ideas why my tineke is browning on the edges? I’ve been following the Planta schedule and also checking to make sure it’s accurate according to when the soil drys out enough. She’s about 3’ from west window.

I was just looking into this because I struggle with the same thing with my tineke.

I think I’m going to be switching to distilled water, sometimes the minerals in tap can cause browning. I’ll also be adding a humidifier just in case.

I’ll have to try this! I have a calathea that would prefer distilled water too, so it looks like it’s time to switch. Thank you!

I’d put her maybe a little closer to the window. I have mine about 1.5’ from my window and also has a humidifier. She is loving life!

Thank you so much! I scooted her closer to the window now and we’ll see how she does.
