# Ever since Planta started asking what we’d like to name our plants…

Ever since Planta started asking what we’d like to name our plants when we add them, I have started naming all of mine. Even the ones before the option. Am I the only one? Lol.  
And are your plants male, female, “it” or a combination? 🤷‍♀️

Yes I’ve always named them because I have to call them something when I talk to them 🤗 or sometimes I just say “hey planty” lol but I do have boys and girls it just depends what vibe the plant gives me

lol cute, for me I can’t name them until I get attached to them and they start thriving, until then they are “it” but yeah I get the different vibes for boy or girl too lol

Some of mine I think of as it but usually when I get to know a plant, it develops a gender. Lol.

Most of my plants have female names; my cat is the only male energy wanted in my apartment.

My plants are all female, but they don’t have names. I’m just always saying “she” 😂🤣

If you didn’t know, plants actually do have genders, you can tell by flowers, do whatever you will with this information, I mean I don’t know

I name mine old virtue names so whatever the name is is the gender of my plants (actual plant gender does not matter to me)

Well one of my props is named Thou-Shall-Not-Commit-Adultery…sure Felicity is used today and such but yeah I’m definitely going old fashioned on some of em (check out my pf for some of the other names!)

mine don’t really have genders just silly names like “mature cheddar” for a Swiss cheese plant
