Does anyone know why my rubber plant is looking crispy? She still has new growth but a lot of leaves are turning brown and dry.

I would assume crimping means it's a humidity issue. Especially in winter if you live in a colder climate. Maybe add a humidifier near the plant.

How much does she dry out in between waterings?

I water when the top is dry. She doesn’t seem to be root bound. Planta said I may not have her in a bright enough area.

Okay I was curious because it looked like overwatering to me. Rubber plants prefer to have thru soil mostly dry out in between waterings. Letting the top dry out is good but the soil needs to be 75% dry before you water it again. More light will also help because it helps the plant use up the water in the soil more quickly so it doesn’t sit in soggy water too long. I like to check the soil by sticking a chopstick or something 75% of the way down into the soil; if jt comes out clean, it’s ready to be watered, but if it comes out with any soil sticking to it or any dampness, it’s best to wait a few days and check again.

Beautiful plant! My number one wish list right now. I would have gotten it but it says toxic to animals and I don’t have a safe spot for it right now.
