# i just rescued this friend from the grocery store and was wondering…

i just rescued this friend from the grocery store and was wondering if she needed to be repotted, or just left alone for a little bit?

the soil is also bone dry so i will be giving her a little water, but i wanted to wait and see if she needed to be repotted first. thanks! :)

That soil looks hydrophobic, so go ahead and give it a 10-20 minute bottom watering soak (just make sure it drains thoroughly.) The pot size looks appropriate, but you might take it out and put it back just to loosen and aerate the soil

I think let her be for a bit to get comfortable with the new environment. (Try not to repot right away- when you do repot in about 6mo-1yr, use a clear container with good drainage).  
I’m still learning this plant as well; so far I have been spray watering it by the top, the soil of this plant likes to stay 1/4 moist. Every 2-3 days.  
Indirect light and about 8ft away from the window.  
I only use distilled water-it is a higher maintenance plant so just keep an eye on its signs.
