# Hi! Was at my local flower shop and spotted gorgeous rubber plant 🪴…

Hi! Was at my local flower shop and spotted gorgeous rubber plant 🪴 couldn’t get it at that time so I went in today and looked for it it was gone 😭😭 lol but that’s okay I spotted this super cute peperomia plant! She was looking rough and soil was sooo dry!!! I cleaned her off with water outside , repotted her in my handmade soil  
Hopefully she thrive in no time! Any tips would be appreciated!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

My only real credentials are that I’ve got a Peperomia Obtusifolia (which if yours isn’t just a variegated peperomia obtusifolia like mine it looks to be closely related) but from what I’ve learned from mine, they seem to thrive on neglect as long as they’re watered. Make sure you find the exact type it is first. Some like being misted and some don’t. Mine does once a week. I have it currently in the north window, but it can probably survive a south window from a distance. They do pretty well as long as they’re within a foot of a window. Don’t water yours too often. They’re pretty hardy. Let the soil dry out between waterings. And check for mealy bugs and fungus gnats from time to time, as those are the main two pests for it, especially when closer to points of accesses (i.e. windows and front doors). For now, especially since you repotted yours recently, maybe just try monitoring it for a bit and just leaving it alone. It might get a bit stressed from the relocation and repotting, but after a week I find plants readjust just fine. I bottom water mine to reduce the risk of having any fungus gnats drawn to the top of the soil about once a week to once a week and a half, and I’ve read some sprinkle a bit of cinnamon and spread it on the top of the soil as a natural insecticide. Thank you so much for the information and tips. I’ll definitely keep my eye on her and hopefully she will keep thriving on

That’s adorable! I have a peperomia and she’s super easy. The delicate leaves mean she doesn’t like dryness but planta keeps me on track and she doesn’t complain.
