# Hoping someone can help.. my son is wondering what’s wrong with his…

Hoping someone can help.. my son is wondering what’s wrong with his peace lily. It’s watered once a week. Is in indirect sunlight..east window I think (he’s in Atlanta so not sure) it’s the black spots on the stem he’s asking about. They don’t see anything moving so doesn’t seem like pests… there’s some leaves turning yellow, and I advised could be lack of drainage or just time for a leaf to die.. any thoughts ?

Looks like it may have pests, perhaps scale?

Scale can only be removed individually with a q-tip and rubbing alcohol. Even then more will come back. Definitely keep away from other plants 🍀
