# Hi, hello. Is there something I need to do different with this…

Hi, hello. Is there something I need to do different with this calathea musaica? My cat knocked it over and the pot broke so I had to repot it. We’ve had it for about 2 weeks and it has been doing okay. But the leaves and stems seem like they’re standing STRAIGHT UP and I don’t want it to be in distress 😩 help!

It’s really beautiful. This is exactly what it does! It prays by raising its leaves to God. Just mist it every other day and see how it thrives!

It looks great. The leaves go straight up at night and lay down during the day. As a calathea/prayer plant, that’s what it’s supposed to do. :)

These plants like consistently moist soil. Try not to leave it soaking, but also try not to let it dry out 100% either.
