Uh… I got this at a garage sale… how do I start \*sigh\* I didn’t think about this what do I do with it how do I make him pretty :) Thanks for the help

I woud start with a nice trim to see what you're working with under all that dead material, then see if he needs a drink. Haircut and spa day

My dad once chopped the top off his fern like this. Took it down to an inch. I thought it was toast but that plant grew back and in the most beautiful way! My dad had no patience for teasing out the bad stalks. The new growth all came back at the same time and the plant had the most beautiful shape when it all grew back!

I would cut it all the way down, bury the pot into the ground, and let it regrow.

If it were me, I’d almost completely start over, prune it down to a good few inches, get rid of the dead ones and hope everything comes back bushy and healthy
