My Alocasia dragon scale has a new baby coming up through the soil. Is that from a rhizome? Thank you.

Alocasia’s produce corms (essentially their “seeds”). Those germinate in the medium and then produce a new plant.

You can leave them all together as it grows, or you can move it to its own pot. I usually wait until my new plant has 1-2 leaves pushed out before I’ll move it.
