What type of plant is this. I think its a philodendron but i dont know which type. Also any care tips, i got it as a gift and want it to thrive.

I believe it’s a Philo Moonlight.  
I’ve never owned a philo but if this were my new plant I’d check the roots and repot to a smaller pot bc this one looks too big for what I’m imagining the root ball looks like.

The type of soil they used looks okay but I’d get some fresh stuff off 1/4 perlite 1/4 all purpose and 1/4 orchid bark if you have some. Otherwise 1/2 perlite and 1/2 all purpose is fine for these guys
