# Help!! I’ve been very kindly gifted this gorgeous money tree and…

Help!! I’ve been very kindly gifted this gorgeous money tree and during its transport it came loose from its pot. I was able to repot it with the ficus soil I had along with what was in the pot, however the pot it’s in doesn’t have drainage holes. Will it be ok? I don’t want to mess with it too much as I’ve read they’re quite sensitive to being moved round too much and it’s been transported 30 miles today poor thing!! Any pointers welcome please 🤞🏻

I just drilled holes into some of my pots yesterday with the plant still in them.

This is exactly what I’m going to do 😀… how easy was it to do?

I held the pot while my husband took a hammer and a screwdriver to poke holes. I guess it depends on the pot. If it’s plastic, I’d guess a drill is better. The pots we did yesterday were like a thin metal, so poking holes seemed easier.

The pot it’s in is a think plastic one so might be tricky… glad I know I’m not the only one who thinks of these things haha x

If it’s thin, maybe try something sharper like an ice pick with a hammer? I love money trees, that one is gorgeous. I repotted mine a few weeks ago and it was not happy but it needed it!
