# I repotted a lot of my plants last night because the top soil of many…

_Publicado por LJ el 2025-04-15_

I repotted a lot of my plants last night because the top soil of many of them was starting to look a little moldy. So I scrapped the top layer and added cinnamon and let it sit for a day. However when repotting, I used the same soil which was still wet, when repotting them but I didn’t water them. This morning a lot of my plants don’t look too happy which is to be expected when repotting, but should I water them. If so, how can I water without over watering. Some of my plants I had bottom watered and some were top watered, all were watered 4 days ago but have all be repotted, either in the same repot but with the soil being less compact or a different pot, that was more appropriate for its size. What is the best way to recover from transplant shock and are there any tips and tricks I should know about this moving forward.
Thanks in advance for all your help!
