Try a type of pothos, they're typically beginner friendly as well

Chinese evergreen there are many varieties

Begonia Rex do well with less light and have gorgeous leaves. Just do research on them. They don’t like their leaves to get wet. So water directly in soil. Nerve plants also have gorgeous leaves and do well in shade. Hope that helps !

what direction is the window facing? that affects how much light the shelf beside it gets.
