# I took a visit to the 'Newark garden show' at the weekend and came…

I took a visit to the 'Newark garden show' at the weekend and came back with these two in the photo (and lots of other plants just accidentally jumped into my new purple garden trolley which also magically became part of my life) .... I now realise I'm in my gardening era 🤣🌺 I turned 36 last week and it's just happened ✨ 🪄 🎩....... Did this happen to anyone else? Did it happen over night? One minute your dancing in a nightclub to then BOOM the excitement of dancing to the tunes in gardens centres and early nights thinking about feeding your plants...

Me at 15: JFC will my mom shut up about her Ming aralia already? Who cares about her stupid houseplant?  
Me at 55: gosh it’s too bad I can’t get a Ming aralia, they’re poisonous to my cat, but is there anything similar…

I hit my orchid era pretty suddenly after I finally got the hang of phalenopsis care. So far dendrobiums have really gotten along well with me

I had almost this exact experience, and even a similar timeline. I had some plants before, but between 35 \& 38 I went from being a Party Person to being a Plant Person. At 40, I would rather repot plants all day than recover from a rave 😅

Gardening is now my “drug of choice”. I’d rather buy a new plant than use my money for food shopping!!!😉. It’s an obsession for sure🪴

Or even when u go food shopping now they have plants 😂 morrisons are selling more and more 😂
