# Does anyone know where I can find a site that accurately lists out…

Does anyone know where I can find a site that accurately lists out NPK ratios for different plants? I tried AI chat yesterday and it was telling me 20-20-20 for so many plants that I had found previously to be way lower than that. For example, I have a bottle of fertilizer specific to Monsteras that shows on its label that it has an NPK of 3-1-2 versus the 20-20-20 that AI told me. That is a very significant difference. And then looking around at other sites, they vary greatly. I came across a site just now that told me to use 20-20-20 for my Anthurium Clarinervium and added that I should dilute it by half. Why dilute by half instead of just buying a less potent NPK ratio? Apart from a good site, I would be grateful for any sources that do a deep dive into NPK ratios to make sure I’m fully understanding every aspect. Thank You for any help!

I’m not sure what ratios specific plants need but I really like THIS! For all of my plants. I’ve been using it for years and ALL of my plants are thriving even cacti.

N-P\&K are obviously essential but people often forget about the importance of other nutrients. Each plant is going to use up specific nutrients during different growing stages. Ex; potassium is important for cell structure. Plants that have large stalks but not necessarily woody trunks need more potassium to support the cells otherwise those stalks get weak and eventually rot. However too much of something could lead to an over abundance and block other nutrients from being absorbed (nitrogen toxicity) this is why it’s usually best to have a balanced fertilizer. Magnesium is essential for phosphorus metabolism. Calcium is important for cell division and helps the absorption of other nutrients.

I was using this too alternating with fertilizer. How do you use it?

The ratio is 1:20 I’ll roughly measure my watering can. I basically ask google on the math lol but I write the measurement on each watering can too so I remember. This one holds just over 4c and I add 1/4c of phytoplankton.

Ok then I never got that math right so I wasn’t using near enough 🙈
